Frans read tax law in Leiden and was one of the first students to complete the tax law program.
His practice focuses on tax law cases (right of recovery of taxes, fiscal audits, fiscal objections, appeals and cases for the Supreme Court (Fiscal Intelligence and Investigation Service and Economic Investigation Service)). Frans also works on complex economic criminal cases, confiscation cases and civil fraud.
In his work Frans is able to combine his financial and tax knowledge with his strategic insight and knowledge of civil, criminal and procedural administrative law.
Frans is currently the chairman of the professional association of lawyers tax consultants (NVAB) and board member/co-founder of the association of appeal specialists tax division (VCSB). He is also a member of the advisory committee tax of the Dutch Bar Association (Nederlandse Orde van Advocaten).
Frans regularly gives courses to tax consultants, accountants and lawyers. He also publishes regularly and is the author sections tax penalty law and criminal tax law of the Course Tax Law. His work has lead to references in guides such as The Legal 500 and Who'swholegal.
